ANALISIS CEMARAN BAKTERI COLIFORM Escherichia coli PADA AIR MINUM ISI ULANG DENGAN METODE MPN (MOST PROBABLE NUMBER) DI KELURAHAN AIR TIMUR, KOTA PADANG

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Air merupakan sumber kehidupan utama bagi manusia. Tiap orang memerlukan air antara 30-60 liter per hari. Air harus mempunyai persyaratan khusus agar air tersebut tidak menimbulkan penyakit bagi manusia. Menurut data Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat penyakit diare termasuk dalam penyakit yang menduduki peringkat ke 2 dengan jumlah kasus 32.589. Sedangkan di Kota Padang kasus diare dideteksi yaitu sebesar 3,1%. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menganalisiskualitatif kandungan Escherichia coli dan  Bakteri Coliform pada air minum hasil pengolahan 3 depot di Kelurahan Air Tawar Timur, Kota Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif analitik dari uji laboratorik air isi ulang pada ke 3 lokasi DAMIU. Sampel berjumlah 3 depot yaitu depot X, depot Y, dan depot Z. Pemeriksaan mikrobiologis dengan menggunakan Most Probable Number Test (MPN) terhadap sampel yang terdiri dari tiga tes, yaitu presumptive test, confirmative test, dan complete test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Air Minum Isi Ulang untuk ketiga depot masing masing depot X, depot Y dan depot Z semuanya sudah terkontaminasi bakteri Coliform. Air minum isi ulang untuk ketiga depot masing-masing depot X, depot Y, dan depot Z. Hasil data SD dari analisa data dengan metode MPN 5.400 ± 4.428. Nilai SD menunjukkan keseragaman hasil yang didapat.

ABSTRACT

Water is the main source of life for humans. Each person needs between 30-60 liters of water per day. Water must have special requirements so that it does not cause disease for humans. According to data from the West Sumatra Provincial Health Office, diarrheal disease is included in the disease that is ranked 2nd with a total of 32,589 cases. Meanwhile, in the city of Padang, cases of diarrhea were detected at 3.1%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the qualitative content of Escherichia coli and Coliform Bacteria in drinking water from the processing of 3 depots in Air Tawar Timur Village, Padang City. This type of research is qualitative analytic from refill water laboratory tests at 3 DAMIU locations. The sample consisted of 3 depots, namely depot X, depot Y, and depot Z. Microbiological examination using the Most Probable Number Test (MPN) on a sample consisting of three tests, namely presumptive test, confirmative test, and complete test. The results showed that the refill drinking water for the three depots, depot X, depot Y and depot Z, were all contaminated with Coliform bacteria. Refill drinking water for the three depots, each depot X, depot Y, and depot Z. The SD data results from data analysis using the MPN method of 5.400 ± 4.428. The SD value shows the uniformity of the results obtained.
