PEDOMAN PEMBERIAN AIR SUSU IBU (ASI) EKSKLUSIF PADA BAYI DI MASA PANDEMI SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19): Studi Literatur Lintas Negara

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Pandemi Covid-19 telah menimbulkan pertanyaan tentang manajemen ibu hamil dan bayi baru lahir, khususnya terkait pedoman pemberian air susu ibu (ASI) eksklusif yang dianjurkan organisasi kesehatan dunia (WHO). Pada masa awal pandemi ini, praktik menyusui ditantang oleh ketakutan di antara orang tua dan petugas kesehatan yang terkadang mengakibatkan pemisahan ibu dan bayi. Penelitian ini meninjau pedoman menyusui di masa pendemi Covid-19 dari berbagai Negara dan membandingkannya dengan pedoman menyusui yang dikeluarkan oleh World Health Organization (WHO). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua Negara di dunia menerapkan pedoman menyusui sesuai instruksi dan rekomendasi dari WHO. Selain itu, pedoman yang dikeluarkan oleh sebagian besar lembaga internasional dan badan nasional, merekomendasikan rawat inap dan menyusui langsung. Saat dunia menghadapi gelombang ketiga pandemi Covid-19, lebih banyak informasi dikumpulkan, terutama mengenai kemungkinan penularan virus melalui menyusui, sehingga memungkinkan instruksi dan rekomendasi yang lebih pasti tentang praktik menyusui di dunia.
