Abstract

Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis (PPOK) merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang berdampak signifikan pada kualitas hidup dan kesejahteraan pasien. Salah satu komplikasi serius dari PPOK adalah rendahnya saturasi oksigenasi, yang berhubungan dengan peningkatan risiko morbiditas dan mortalitas. Fisioterapi dada telah diakui sebagai intervensi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan fungsi pernapasan dan saturasi oksigenasi pada pasien PPOK.Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas fisioterapi dada dalam meningkatkan saturasi oksigenasi pada pasien PPOK di Rumah Sakit Paru Sumatera Barat.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi klinis acak terkontrol dengan dua kelompok. Kelompok intervensi menerima fisioterapi dada tambahan selain perawatan standar, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya menerima perawatan standar. Pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi diikutsertakan dalam penelitian ini. Saturasi oksigenasi diukur sebelum dan setelah intervensi fisioterapi dada. Intervensi fisioterapi dada terdiri dari serangkaian teknik yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan volume udara yang masuk ke paru-paru dan meningkatkan pernapasan.Hasil: Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata saturasi oksigenasi pada kelompok intervensi meningkat secara signifikan setelah menerima fisioterapi dada, dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 4,750 dan p-value = 0,046. Ini menunjukkan bahwa fisioterapi dada secara signifikan meningkatkan saturasi oksigenasi pada pasien PPOK dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol.Kesimpulan: Fisioterapi dada terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan saturasi oksigenasi pada pasien PPOK. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan dasar yang kuat untuk memasukkan fisioterapi dada sebagai bagian dari protokol perawatan rutin untuk pasien PPOK di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan protokol perawatan yang lebih efektif dan memberikan wawasan tambahan bagi praktisi kesehatan mengenai peran fisioterapi dada dalam manajemen PPOK.
