EFEKTIFITAS KOMSUMSI JAHE MERAH (zingiber officinale) TERHADAP KADAR ASAM URATPADA PASIEN GOUT ARTHRITIS DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SALIDO KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN THE EFFECT OF (Zingiber officinale ) ON URAT ACID CONTENT IN ARTHRITICAL GOUT PATIENTS IN THE WORKING AREA OF SALIDO HEALTH CENTER OF PESISIR SELATAN DISTRICT

Asam urat adalah sisa metabolisme zat purin yang berasal dari makanan yang kita konsumsi. Asam urat dibutuhkan oleh tubuh dalam batas normal, kondisi ketika terjadi kelebihan asam urat dalam darah disebut hiperurisemia. Apabila terjadi penumpukan asam urat dapat menyebabkan penyakit gout arthritis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi jahe merah terhadap kadar asam urat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Salido Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Tahun 2018. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian quasy eksperiment dengan rancangan pretest postest two group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Salido Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan dilaksanakan mulai dari April-Agustus 2018. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 16 orang, 8 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol dan 8 orang lagi sebagai kelompok intervensi. Data dikumpulkan melalu lembaran observasi. Data dianalisa secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji menggunakan uji T-test Independen. Hasil penelitian pada kelompok kotrol didapatkan nilai p=0,003 dan hasil penelitian pada kelompok intervensi didapatkan nilai p=0,002. Pengobatan farmakologi ditambah konsumsi jahe merah berpengaruh dalam menurunkan kadar asam urat dibandingkan dengan farmakologi saja pada pasien gout arthritis di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Salido Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Tahun 2018.

ABSTRACT

Uric acid is needed by the body within normal limits, the condition when there is excess uric acid in the blood is called hyperuricemia. If there is a buildup of uric acid, it can cause gout arthritis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of red ginger consumption on uric acid levels in the Work Area of Salido Health Center in South Coastal District in 2018. This type of research is quasy experimental research with the pretest posttest two group design. This research was carried out in the Salido Community Health Center Work Area of Pesisir Selatan Regency carried out from April to August 2018. The number of samples in this study were 16 people, 8 people as the control group and 8 others as the intervention group. Data was collected through observation sheets. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately by using the Independent T-test. The results of the study in the control group obtained p = 0.003 and the results of the study in the intervention group obtained p = 0.002. Pharmacological treatment plus consumption of red ginger has an effect on reducing uric acid levels compared to pharmacology alone in gout arthritis patients in the Salido Community Health Center in pesisir selatan in 2018.
