Karakteristik, Beban, dan Kualitas Hidup pada Caregiver Klien Skizofrenia

Abstract

Proses merawat klien skizofrenia menciptakan situasi yang penuh stress, ketidaksiapan caregiver dalam menghadapi masalah ini berdampak pada penurunan kualitas hidup. Penurunan kualitas hidup caregiver dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya beban caregiver. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik (jenis kelamin, usia, status marital, pendidikan, pekerjaan, penghasilan, dan hubungan klien - caregiver), beban dengan kualitas hidup pada caregiver. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study pada 186 caregiver dengan convenient technique sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner The Zarit Burden Interview dan World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF). Hasil uji chi-square menunjukkan ada hubungan semua karakteristik responden dengan beban dan kualitas hidup, ada hubungan antara beban dan kualitas hidup, ada hubungan beban dengan semua dimensi kualitas hidup (kualitas kesehatan fisik, psikologis, hubungan sosial, dan hubungan dengan lingkungan), serta ada hubungan antara dimensi benban ( beban mental dan sosial) dengan kualitas hidup. Hasil uji multivariat dengan Regresi Logistik Ganda menunjukkan bahwa status marital paling besar pengaruhnya dalam hubungan antara beban dengan kualitas hidup caregiver klien skizofrenia. Saran untuk Rumah Sakit Jiwa Tampan Pekanbaru untuk meningkatkan pelayanan keperawatan jiwa secara komprehensif terhadap klien dan keluarga, berupa program pendidikan kesehatan.
